Tragic Ash Dyke Collapse Claims Life at Madhya Pradesh Power Station

A tragic incident unfolded at a thermal power station in Madhya Pradesh's Narsinghpur district, where a labourer died following the collapse of a heap of ash. The incident occurred at the dyke near the National Thermal Power Corporation project.
According to Sandeep Bhuria, the Additional Superintendent of Police, the disaster struck during the morning hours. A contractor was overseeing the loading of ash onto a vehicle when the heap collapsed, burying a labourer along with a JCB driver. While rescue personnel managed to extricate both individuals, the labourer unfortunately died at the hospital.
The driver survived the ordeal, having been able to breathe as his face remained above the ash surface. Officials are yet to identify the deceased, who was approximately 30 years old. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination to assist in the identification process. The incident underscores the potentially perilous conditions workers face at such sites.
