Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, at the Herbal Advisory Committee meeting on Friday, urged officials to foster village-level clusters for revitalizing the herbal sector. Emphasizing Uttarakhand's rich Himalayan natural resources, he called for dedicated promotion of herbal products from the higher regions and encouraged learning from leading states in the sector.

Underlining the importance of research and innovation, Dhami stressed coordinated efforts in production, marketing, and branding to boost the herbal industry. The Chief Minister prioritized the region's natural herbal wealth in government plans, aiming to maximize farmer benefits, increase local self-employment, and economically engage women, with support from Pantnagar University for added value and training.

Additionally, Dhami addressed human-wildlife conflict, instructing joint teams from Agriculture and Forest Departments to inform the public on safety and crop protection. The meeting featured insights from Dr. Abhishek Tripathi on herbal research. On the same day, Dhami mourned five lives lost in a Bagdhara road accident, ensuring rapid support to affected families, while directing local authorities for prompt assistance.
