A tragic accident claimed the life of a young agricultural worker in Maharashtra's Beed district.
Nilesh Ganesh Bahir, a 20-year-old resident of Gangawadi in Georai, was run over by a sugarcane harvester while helping with the sugarcane harvest. The incident occurred around 3:30 pm on Wednesday, leaving him dead on the spot, according to local police.
An investigation has been initiated after the police registered a case of accidental death. The sudden loss has left the village in deep mourning over the passing of one of its own.
