Journalist's Tragic Demise Sparks Serious Charges Against Amit Sehgal

A shocking case has emerged from Dehradun with the registration of an FIR against Amit Sehgal after journalist Pankaj Mishra's tragic death. The incident transpired after assailants entered Mishra's home in Doon Vihar, Jakhan, leading to his death due to severe chest pain on the same night.

According to a complaint by Mishra's brother, police have charged Sehgal under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, following the incident on December 15. Sehgal and accomplices allegedly entered the journalist's home around 10 pm and launched a fatal attack.

Sehgal is accused of kicking and punching Mishra, causing internal injuries and bleeding. The assailants reportedly took the phones of Mishra and his wife. By 3 am on December 16, Mishra was found unconscious and later pronounced dead at Doon Hospital. Police are actively investigating the case.
