Africa Cup of Nations Boosts CAF's Revenue by 90%

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has reported a remarkable 90% surge in commercial revenue for the Africa Cup of Nations held in Morocco. This growth is largely attributed to a broader range of media rights and successful forays into new markets, particularly in Asia.

According to CAF, the number of commercial partners jumped from nine in the 2021 tournament to 17 by the finals in Ivory Coast in 2023. For the upcoming 2025 edition in Morocco, the organization has secured 23 sponsors, highlighting the event's growing appeal to global brands.

CAF's financial results reveal substantial income from the last tournament, with $96 million in net contract revenues and a projected $114 million in net profit anticipated for the Morocco event. The expansion and retention of sponsor partnerships have been pivotal to this financial success story.
