In a significant development for Gujarat's energy sector, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel officiated the induction of Jatin Thakkar as a new member of the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC). The oath-taking ceremony was attended by high-ranking officials, including GERC Chairman Pankaj Joshi and Chief Secretary MK Das, among others.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister reinforced the state's commitment to water conservation by urging district collectors to prepare for the monsoon season with proactive water management strategies. This call to action was part of a video conference aimed at reviewing progress under the Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari 2.0 campaign.

The conference saw participation from Union Minister for Jal Shakti C R Patil and involved detailed presentations by district collectors on the initiatives being undertaken. Patel emphasized the importance of aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for resource management, positioning Gujarat as a leader in water conservation.
