Just ahead of International Women's Day, Axis Max Life Insurance Ltd. shared groundbreaking insights from the latest India Retirement Index Study (IRIS 5.0), shedding light on working women's retirement readiness.

The study showcases a notable five-point increase in women's Retirement Index score, reaching 49 in 2025, compared to a national rise from 44 to 48 over the same period. Health preparedness among women saw a marked improvement, jumping from 40 to 47, revealing a trend of growing women-led financial and health consciousness.

However, the study also highlights persistent emotional anxieties. The Emotional Preparedness Index for women slipped slightly from 60 to 58, and the fear of loneliness increased. While the adoption of health insurance is on the rise, emotional stability remains an area for improvement, reflecting broader gender-specific challenges in retirement planning.
