Gas Leak Crisis at Vishakapatnam Steel Plant

In a concerning incident at the Vishakapatnam Steel Plant's thermal power area, four workers were reported to have fallen unconscious after a gas leak on Monday afternoon.
According to J Mallikarjun, the Deputy General Manager of Vizag Steel Plant, the incident took place around 4 pm when the workers detected a gas leak and soon collapsed due to inhalation of fumes.
The affected workers received immediate medical attention and were hospitalized, later discharged after doctors confirmed their safety. Authorities suspect the gas to be Blast Furnace gas, known for its hazardous carbon monoxide content, and an investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the leak.
