Bharatiya Janata Party MLA, Dhirendra Singh, has raised serious concerns over the overlooked revision of farmers' compensation amid increasing land prices in Noida, Greater Noida, and the Yamuna Authority regions. In a letter to authorities, Singh demanded immediate policy intervention to rectify the imbalance that disfavors farmers.

Singh highlighted that land values have surged significantly in the past four years, with residential plots up by 53% and industrial plots by 63%. He argued that current compensation rates are outdated and inequitable, stressing the need for a revision to maintain social and economic justice, particularly for farmers whose lands are acquired for development.

Emphasizing on fair distribution of infrastructure and industrial growth benefits, Singh said administrative bodies should not merely focus on revenue generation but also prioritize farmers' welfare. He called for prompt action to address these concerns, citing judicial precedents that emphasize fairness and transparency in land acquisition processes.

Furthermore, Singh questioned procedural delays that stall resolutions, urging autonomous authorities to settle farmer-related issues without unnecessary government referrals. His representation calls for the swift revision of compensation, circle rates, and rehabilitation benefits to reflect current land values, ensuring justice for contributing farmers.
