Working on several sectoral proposals to promote investments: Goyal

India's Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal announced the government is working on proposals to promote investments in key sectors, building on previous measures to boost domestic manufacturing and self-reliance.

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Saturday said the government is working on several proposals to promote investments in certain sectors.

He said that the government has already taken a series of measures to promote domestic manufacturing, industrialisation, domestic and international investments into the country.

''We are continuously addressing challenges related to increasing self-reliance, particularly in areas where our supply chains are critically dependent on certain geographies ... we are working on several proposals to promote investments in certain sectors, which the finance minister has announced in the Budget,'' he told reporters here.
