The body of 36-year-old Constable Ankit Tomar, missing for two days, was found Thursday morning in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The constable was posted at the DRP Police Line and his disappearance followed an official duty assignment to Morena.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Dharmvir Singh, reported that Tomar's body, still in uniform, was located in a desolate section of New Lohamandi area, Shivpuri Link Road, under Kampoo police station's jurisdiction. Tomar lived nearby, and his family indicated that his phone was off since Tuesday.

The preliminary site inspection revealed an injury on Tomar's leg, lacking other bodily injuries. The police launched an investigation into what they suspect could be a suspicious death. Authorities are awaiting the post-mortem and further evidence to ascertain the cause of death as investigations continue.
