Under the leadership of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Health Minister Praful Pansheriya, Ahmedabad Civil Hospital has showcased the government's commitment to people-centric, quality healthcare. The hospital's Paediatric Surgery Department triumphantly carried out a rare surgery on a 12-year-old boy from a farmer's family in Uttar Pradesh, reinforcing this approach.

The child suffered severe genital injuries from a dog attack at just 25 days old. His condition deteriorated over 12 years, affecting his normal urinary function and genital development. The search for treatment led the family to Ahmedabad Civil Hospital, where hope was renewed with the successful surgery.

On May 6, under the supervision of Medical Superintendent Rakesh Joshi and Professor Dr. Jayshree Ramji, the medical team executed complex reconstructive surgery. Post-surgery, the child showed remarkable recovery, urinating pain-free. Overjoyed, the father expressed gratitude towards the Gujarat Government and the Civil Hospital's dedicated doctors.
