The political fabric of India gathered at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre on Thursday, as Chief Ministers from across the nation convened for the 11th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog, presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Significant on the agenda was Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant's vow to project his state’s proposals and demands to the central government. In his remarks, Sawant committed to aligning with the predetermined themes while addressing additional state-centric issues. As Modi celebrates a milestone of 12 years in leadership, Sawant applauded the notable advancements in infrastructure and human resource capacities under his tenure.

Among those making their way to the meeting were Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, Bihar CM Samrat Choudhary, and Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini, alongside recently elected CMs Suvendu Adhikari, C Joseph Vijay, DK Shivakumar, and VD Satheesan. The gathering also marks the attendance of Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana CM Revanth Reddy.

Notably, Tamil Nadu CM Vijay, on a broader itinerary in the capital, sought time with President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President CP Radhakrishnan and leaders of the parliamentary opposition, highlighting the strengthening connections within his coalition government, which includes parties like CPI.

Core discussions led by PM Modi revolved around the theme 'Inclusive Human Development for Viksit Bharat @2047,' emphasizing equitable growth across socio-economic divides, fostering entrepreneurship, enhancing skills, and ensuring sustainable employment. As detailed by the NITI Aayog release, this year's framework centers on health, human capital, employment, and dignity for all citizens.
