In a significant move, Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge convened a strategic meeting on Thursday, bringing together party General Secretaries, In-Charges, and Pradesh Congress Committee Presidents to deliberate on the current political landscape. Prominent figures, including Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Jairam Ramesh, and KC Venugopal, were in attendance.
Among those present were Assam Pradesh Congress Committee president Gaurav Gogoi and Madhya Pradesh Congress in-charge Harish Choudhary. The gathering follows a recent INDIA bloc meeting, emphasizing the importance of routine engagement to fortify opposition unity against the ruling BJP government.
Key outcomes included a decision for the INDIA alliance to convene every two months, with the next session slated for August in Hyderabad. Additionally, Congress plans to address the Chief Justice of India regarding electoral malpractices and call for the Education Minister's resignation over examination issues, taking a firm stance against administrative failures.
