Amidst the recent landmark peace agreement between the United States and Iran, Congress leader Supriya Shrinate has welcomed the initiative. However, she has raised concerns over India's palpable absence from this significant diplomatic development.

Expressing her concerns to ANI, Shrinate criticized the government's silence on the deaths of three Indian sailors during the conflict. She expressed that while any peace effort is crucial, the Prime Minister had neither expressed condolences nor provided a response to these tragic deaths, accusing the US of failing to protect Indian lives on board.

Shrinate further criticized India’s government for not having an active role in this diplomatic breakthrough, contrasting it with Pakistan’s involvement. As the US and Iran move forward with a 60-day negotiation plan, culminating in an official signing in Switzerland, questions about India’s position on international peace processes remain unanswered.
