Lebanon's health minister said more than 25 people had been killed and over 2,500 injured in a massive explosion in Beirut port area on Tuesday that rippled through the capital.
Speaking in remarks broadcast live on TV channels, he initially said more than 30 people had been killed and over 3,000 injured. The head of the Lebanese Red Cross put the number of wounded at over 2,200, local broadcasters earlier said.
