Zambia’s health minister cautions media, ensures no case of Zika Virus

Zambia's Health Minister, Dr. Chitalu Chilufya has cautioned the global media organizations to report facts and not harm Zambia's prospects.
This follows a story carried by a UK-based tabloid, The Sun insinuating that the Duchess of Sussex pulled out of a visit to Zambia due to Zika concerns. The 46-year minister said to the journalists 'that insinuations that the nation is at high risk of the disease are unfounded.' According to his statement, World Health Organization's (WHO) mapping on Zika Virus excludes Zambia from the belt of those countries with the Virus.
He said government through the Zambia National Public Health Institute has a strong vector surveillance system in place and is able to detect any disease outbreak. He further added that the country is absolutely safe for the travellers from other parts of the world.
