A two-year-old girl died and eight people were missing after a migrant vessel shipwrecked off the coast of Lampedusa on Monday, Italian media reported. Italian authorities managed to rescue 43 people but the two-year-old girl died on board the ship that was carrying them ashore, newswire AGI wrote. The missing people include two children, the survivors were quoted as saying by AGI.
