The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Thursday notified the Union health ministry, Delhi government, and the city's police commissioner after a patient was shot dead inside GTB Hospital in Dilshad Garden.
In its statement, the NHRC stressed the importance of patient safety alongside medical treatment in government hospitals.
The Commission has demanded a detailed report within four weeks from the respective authorities, outlining steps taken to improve security in these facilities.
