Protests continued for a second day across medical colleges in the state, from Greater Noida to Varanasi, as emergency services remained operational. Dr Hardeep Jogi, president of the state's Resident Doctors' Association (RDA), emphasized the need for immediate action in a letter to the minister.

The association highlighted severe lapses in campus security and administration, and proposed several measures, including increased deployment of police and CCTV installations. They also requested a CBI investigation and adequate compensation for the victim's family.
