Union Minister Jual Oram's wife, Jhingia Oram, tragically died of dengue during treatment at a private hospital, the family reported on Sunday. Jhingia Oram, aged 58, is survived by her husband and two daughters. She passed away at approximately 10:50 pm on Saturday night.
The Union Tribal Affairs Minister, Jual Oram, is currently battling dengue and receiving treatment at the same hospital. Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed his deep condolences for the loss of Jhingia Oram, visiting the hospital late Saturday night.
Additionally, Odisha Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan, Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling, Speaker Surama Padhy, and several BJP leaders paid their respects to Jhingia Oram late last night. Chief Minister Majhi described her as a pious and soft-spoken individual who actively engaged in social and charitable causes. He highlighted Jhingia's significant role in Jual Oram's political career. Jual Oram and Jhingia were married on March 8, 1987. Her funeral will be held in their home village in Sundargarh district, according to family sources.
