The scheduled meeting of principals and directors from all state medical colleges and hospitals by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has been postponed to next week due to impending emergency works, an official announced.
According to a state government order, ongoing emergency works at various medical colleges and hospitals necessitated the postponement of the meeting initially planned for Thursday. The new date will be communicated soon.
The meeting was set to review the operations of healthcare facilities and discuss potential improvements in safety, security, and patient services. Key attendees included district magistrates, police superintendents, Chief Medical Officers of Health (CMOHs), and other senior health officials.
