Upon the BJP government's formation in Delhi, officials have laid out a comprehensive action plan to overhaul the healthcare sector. This includes initiatives for digitizing health services, establishing 'Arogya Mandirs', and addressing the acute shortage of medical staff, particularly superintendents and directors.
The government aims to prevent disruptions in healthcare delivery, ensuring essential medical services remain accessible. Officials are reviewing the Health Information Management System (HIMS) and the enforcement of the Clinical Establishments Act as key components of this strategy.
In a significant move, the newly formed Delhi Cabinet approved the Ayushman Bharat scheme and plans to restructure Mohalla Clinics, which may be renamed 'Arogya Mandir', augmenting them with improved facilities and management for enhanced efficiency.
