The government of Uttar Pradesh has initiated an extensive state-wide effort to combat communicable diseases, launching the Dastak Abhiyan and 'Stop Diarrhea' campaigns on Tuesday, as per an official statement.
This strategic push includes the opening of diarrhea and zinc treatment centers, combined with anti-larval spraying, fogging, and public awareness initiatives involving mobile outreach units, the statement detailed.
With monsoon rains heightening the threat of vector-borne illnesses such as dengue and malaria, these campaigns target the public in a coordinated drive, urging mass participation in maintaining hygiene and sanitation to effectively curb infections.
