In a bid to foster greater understanding of stroke prevention and management, Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi, organized a compelling initiative on October 8, 2025. The Apollo Stroke Awareness Programme (ASAP) emphasized the critical need for prompt recognition and response in stroke cases.
Statistics from the World Health Organization emphasize stroke as the second leading global cause of mortality, with India ranking it third following heart disease and cancer. Approximately 170 attendees, including students from various Delhi schools along with stroke survivors and caregivers, gathered to gain insights on this crucial health topic.
Notable contributors such as Dr. Avinash Goswami, Dr. Pushpendra Nath Renjen, and Dr. Seema Grover led sessions focusing on early recognition, management, and rehabilitation. The hospital showcased its state-of-the-art Robotic Neuro-Rehabilitation Unit, underscoring its commitment to health education and advanced stroke care.
