French tourist dies in Rajasthan's Pushkar due to ruptured large intestine

A French tourist died in Pushkar town of Rajasthans Ajmer district after suffering a ruptured large intestine, police said on Tuesday. Bona had arrived in Pushkar on April 15 and was staying at a local hotel. Doctors operated on him on April 26, but he died during treatment in the wee hours of Tuesday, Rathore said.

A French tourist died in Pushkar town of Rajasthan's Ajmer district after suffering a ruptured large intestine, police said on Tuesday. Station House Officer Vikram Singh Rathore said the deceased has been identified as Jose Bona (58), a native of France. Bona had arrived in Pushkar on April 15 and was staying at a local hotel. He developed health complications on April 25 due to a hernia, following which he complained of severe abdominal pain. He was admitted to the Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Hospital, where a sonography revealed a rupture in his large intestine. Doctors operated on him on April 26, but he died during treatment in the wee hours of Tuesday, Rathore said. The body has been kept in the mortuary, and the deceased's family has been informed, police added. Bona had arrived in India on March 27.
