A tragic incident unfolded in Maharashtra's Beed district when a young daily wage worker succumbed to an electric shock on Tuesday morning. Identified as Syed Nazir Quadeer, the 26-year-old was pouring water into an active air cooler when the unforeseen tragedy struck.

The unfortunate event occurred in Ghatnandur village under Ambajogai tehsil at approximately 8.30 am. Quadeer, the family's sole breadwinner, was getting ready for his workday amidst soaring summer temperatures when electricity surged through the cooler, leading to a fatal shock.

Despite immediate medical intervention at a local Primary Health Centre and a subsequent referral to the Government Rural Medical College and Hospital in Ambajogai, Quadeer was pronounced dead on arrival. The police have logged an accidental death case.
