WHO chief arrives in Spain ahead of passenger disembarkation from Hantavirus cruise ship

The ‌head of ​the World Health Organization arrived ‌in Spain on Saturday where he will join senior government officials ‌in Tenerife to oversee the ‌safe disembarkation of passengers on board the cruise ship where an outbreak ⁠of ​Hantavirus ⁠started.

WHO Director General, Tedros Adhanom Ghebrey ⁠said on X that he was ​in contact with the ⁠ship's captain and a WHO colleague who ⁠is ​on board who said that, at this ⁠stage, there are no additional people on ⁠board ⁠showing symptoms of Hantavirus.
