This year's inaugural session took place on Sunday at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi and will run until July 31, 2024. Queisi emphasized the importance of the event for both India and UNESCO.
Highlighting Jordan's active involvement, Queisi mentioned that they have a site, part of the Nabataean civilization, proposed for inscription. He underscored Petra's significance as more than just an architectural marvel, describing it as a historical trade route connecting India with Jordan. Queisi also discussed bilateral talks aimed at boosting tourism and direct flights between Amman and New Delhi, and cooperation in various sectors such as archaeology.
