Trump vs Harris: The Showdown Set for September 10 on ABC News

Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris will face off in a debate on September 10, hosted by ABC News. Both political figures have confirmed their participation, marking a highly anticipated event leading up to the presidential elections.

Republican nominee Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are set to face off in a debate on ABC News on September 10, the former US President announced. Speaking from his Mar-a-Lago resort, Trump revealed his campaign has agreed to three debates hosted by Fox News, ABC News, and NBC News. The ABC debate is the only one both campaigns have agreed to.

Harris confirmed her participation in a post on social media platform X, stating she is ready for the September 10 debate. ABC News issued a statement confirming the participation of both candidates, noting, 'ABC News will host qualifying presidential candidates to debate on September 10.'

Trump had initially opted out of the ABC debate after President Joe Biden's decision not to seek reelection. He confirmed the date for Fox News on September 4, NBC on September 10, and ABC on September 25. However, he stressed that these debates are subject to agreement from the other side.

The former President criticized Harris’s media engagement, stating she was barely competent and unable to do interviews, while Harris expressed her eagerness for the debate, hoping Trump would show up. Additionally, Trump mentioned CBS News would host a vice presidential debate next month, praising his running mate, Ohio Senator JD Vance.

Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, have been holding rallies in key battleground states. Prior to President Biden's announcement, Trump had debated him in late June before exiting the presidential race.
