The Ministry of External Affairs confirmed the appointment in an official statement, highlighting Joshi's extensive experience. "Shri Mayank Joshi (IFS:2003), presently High Commissioner of India to Jamaica, has been concurrently accredited as the next High Commissioner of India to the Cayman Islands, with residence in Kingston," the statement read.

An Indian Foreign Service officer from the 2003 batch, Joshi is slated to take on his new role shortly, strengthening India's diplomatic ties in the Caribbean region. (ANI)
