In a recent interview with NBC News, former President Donald Trump promised to safeguard access to in-vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments if re-elected. Trump floated the idea of mandating government or insurance coverage for American women requiring IVF.

"Under the Trump administration, we are going to be paying for that treatment," Trump stated. He emphasized that insurance companies could be mandated to cover IVF services. Trump's remarks were reported by NBC News.

Vice President Kamala Harris, via a post on X, targeted Trump on the issue of abortion. She warned that a Trump victory would result in him signing an abortion ban and creating a national anti-abortion coordinator, compelling states to report on women's reproductive health matters.

The debate has been especially heated since the Supreme Court's 2022 Dobbs decision, which overturned Roe v. Wade, triggering state-level legislative battles.
