US President Joe Biden reaffirmed the nation's resolve to safeguard American lives and prevent future terrorist attacks. Citing the takedowns of Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri, he emphasized that the administration remains committed to dismantling terrorist networks globally. Biden's remarks came on the 23rd anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

On September 11, 2001, the United States experienced the deadliest terrorist attack in its history, resulting in the loss of 2,977 lives. Al Qaeda operatives hijacked planes and crashed them into New York's World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Biden stated, ‘They believed they could break our will. They failed. Our commitment to preventing another attack on our people never will.’

Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris paid tribute to the victims and their families, highlighting American unity and resilience. Harris noted, ‘Terrorists sought to destroy our way of life but failed. Unity is possible in America, and we will not bend to terrorism.’ Congress has since designated September 11 as Patriot Day and a National Day of Service and Remembrance.
