The 3rd India-Nepal Cultural Festival was held in the sacred city of Lumbini, emphasizing the shared cultural heritage of India and Nepal, with a special focus on Buddhism. Senior Indian official Munu Mahawar, along with other dignitaries, inaugurated the festival organized by the Embassy of India in collaboration with the Lumbini Development Trust and Lumbini Buddhist University.

Munu Mahawar highlighted the profound ties between India and Nepal, grounded in the life and teachings of Lord Buddha, who was born in Lumbini and delivered his first sermon in Sarnath. The festival celebrated the deep civilizational bonds and unique relationship that the two countries share.

The event witnessed active participation from members of civil society, monks, and academics. A special highlight was the visit to the India International Center for Buddhist Culture and Heritage, a project symbolizing India-Nepal friendship.
