In a milestone for international relations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with European Council President Antonio Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in the national capital on Tuesday. The leaders manifested a spirit of camaraderie at Hyderabad House.

Commemorating their state visit to India, the EU leaders paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi by laying a wreath at Raj Ghat. This visit aligns with the 16th India-EU Summit in New Delhi, co-hosted by PM Modi, focusing on fortifying bilateral ties.

Amidst signing a landmark free trade agreement, PM Modi celebrated the deal as significant for linking two major global economies. Concluding discussions assure a boost in manufacturing and services, enhancing India's global standing, while a freshly inked defence partnership positions India as a key EU ally in Asia.
