BLF Claims a Series of Tactical Strikes in Balochistan
The Balochistan Liberation Front has asserted responsibility for a dozen operations across Balochistan, alleging the deaths of security personnel and state agents. Attacks targeted military camps and convoys, with weapons seized and surveillance disrupted. The BLF operates in areas like Kharan and Awaran, according to reports by The Balochistan Post.
The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) announced on Sunday that it successfully executed 10 operations across Balochistan, resulting in the deaths of 10 Pakistani security personnel and four individuals labeled as state agents. These operations, reportedly spanning Kharan, Washuk, Awaran, Kech, and Mastung, were detailed by The Balochistan Post (TBP).
In a communiqué, Major Gwahram Baloch, spokesperson for the BLF, disclosed that its fighters targeted multiple Frontier Corps posts, military camps, and a convoy. They also hit personnel assigned to protect a road construction company and individuals described as 'death squad agents' and 'state agents.' The group claimed that several weapons were seized and surveillance cameras dismantled during these attacks, according to TBP's coverage.
The BLF stated that an assault was launched on May 3 against an FC checkpoint on Gazi Road in Kharan, utilizing rocket launchers and grenades. The attack reportedly resulted in significant casualties and damage. The statement accused Pakistani forces of retaliating with 'indiscriminate fire' on civilians and deploying quadcopters to pursue the attackers, who purportedly escaped without harm.
On May 2, in Washuk's Naag-Grari area, the BLF conducted an intelligence-led operation, claiming to have killed two 'armed death squad agents,' and confiscating two rifles and a motorcycle. A similar operation was previously conducted on March 17. Further south, in Awaran, a sniper and heavy weapon strike on April 29 was aimed at the main military camp in Tirteej, causing multiple casualties and infrastructural damage, an assertion also made by TBP.
The group claimed further responsibility for assaults on a Pakistani military convoy and road construction guards in Tirteej Koturi. The offensives reportedly began with sniper fire, culminating in the deaths of several soldiers. An April 28 attack in Awaran's Geshkour-Zek area was also cited, where a sniper killed one soldier before additional barrages aimed at undermining military positions, according to TBP. (ANI)
