This Beijing visit follows Araghchi's strategic tour to Pakistan, Oman, and Russia, underscoring Iran's diplomatic drive amid current West Asian turmoil. In St Petersburg, Araghchi had crucial discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who pledged Moscow's full support to aid peaceful resolutions in the Middle East.

During talks in Russia, the discussions pointedly addressed U.S. and Israeli actions, with Putin praising Iran's resistance for national sovereignty and assuring Moscow's support for Iran's regional interests. This meeting highlighted the growing strategic partnership between Tehran and Moscow in the face of geopolitical challenges.

Araghchi's travels began in Pakistan, focusing on conditions for Iran-U.S. negotiations, described as productive by officials in Islamabad. His diplomatic mission moved to Muscat, Oman, centering on maritime security in the strategic Strait of Hormuz, vital for global energy passage, reflecting Iran's regional engagement amid U.S. tensions.
