India and Vietnam Forge Stronger Ties: Modi Hosts President To Lam

In a move that emphasizes the enduring ties between India and Vietnam, Prime Minister Narendra Modi played host to Vietnamese President To Lam at the historic Hyderabad House on Wednesday.

This visit signifies Vietnam’s prioritization of its relationship with India, illustrated by the signing of several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) covering a range of sectors. During the hosted event, both leaders underscored the spiritual dimension of the visit, which began in Bodh Gaya, a city deeply rooted in spiritual heritage. "I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to President To Lam in India," stated PM Modi, emphasizing the visit’s significance.

The day commenced with a ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan, setting an upbeat tone for the ensuing wide-ranging discussions. As the nations celebrate a decade of their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, the President will extend his trip to Mumbai for business engagements, marking the evolution from historical ties to a robust modern strategic relationship.
