The visit entails a series of discussions aimed at deepening ties, with Khanal's arrival in New Delhi expected later this afternoon and a key meeting slated for Saturday evening before his departure on Sunday. This marks the most senior engagement by Nepal's government, led by Prime Minister Balendra Shah since taking office in March.
According to Nepal's Foreign Ministry, Khanal's agenda includes formal meetings with Dr Jaishankar, focused on mutual interests like trade, investment, connectivity, and energy. The visit is seen as part of the regular high-level exchanges to strengthen multifaceted bilateral relations between the two neighboring nations, coinciding with other diplomatic activities involving Nepalese political figures in India.
