India's cabinet raises new season domestic wheat purchase price to 2,610 rupees/100 kg

India has ‌raised the price at which its state agencies ‌will buy new season ‌wheat from local farmers to 2,610 ⁠rupees ​per ⁠100 kg, Information Minister Ashwini ⁠Vaishnaw said on Wednesday ​after a meeting of Prime ⁠Minister Narendra Modi's ⁠cabinet.

Last ​year, the minimum support price ⁠for wheat was 2,585 ⁠rupees ⁠per 100 kg.
