Moroccan king says migration cooperation model has reached its limits

​King ‌Mohammed VI said ​on Friday that ‌Morocco’s international cooperation in countering illegal migration, notably ‌towards Spain, had ‌produced concrete results, but that the current ⁠model ​had ⁠reached its limits.

Speaking at ⁠the opening of parliament, ​he said there ⁠were challenges relating to “outdated” court ⁠decisions ​that prevented repatriation of minors, ⁠and to people falsely ⁠claiming ⁠asylum.
