Tanker struck by projectile in Strait of Hormuz, fire reported, UKMTO says

​The ​United ‌Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) ​said on ‌Sunday it has received a report that an ‌outbound tanker in ‌the Strait of Hormuz was struck ⁠on ​the port ⁠side by an unknown ⁠projectile, causing a ​fire on board.

Crew were ⁠reported safe, UKMTO ⁠said, ​adding that damage assessment and ⁠environmental impact were unknown ⁠at ⁠time of report.
