Submission of candidacy papers in person in must for candidates in Algerian election

All candidates in the Algerian presidential election must submit their candidacy papers in person, Abdelwahab Derbal, the head of the election commission said on Sunday.
If applied, this would mean President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, 82, must present himself to the Constitutional Council on Sunday. He has only rarely appeared in public since 2013.
