Bledsoe gets contract extension from Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks made their contract extension with guard Eric Bledsoe official Monday as the nine-year pro will earn a reported $70 million over four years, starting with the 2019-20 season. "We are excited that Eric will continue to be a core part of the Milwaukee Bucks," Bucks general manager Jon Horst said in a new release. "Eric is instrumental to our success and we're proud that he is committed to the Bucks."

Bledsoe is averaging 15.9 points, 5.5 assists and 4.7 rebounds in 61 games this season. The Bucks acquired Bledsoe from Phoenix early last season. Bledsoe has fit in well with a Milwaukee squad that includes All-Star forwards Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton.

Milwaukee's 48-15 record entering Monday was the best in the NBA. Bledsoe played his first three NBA seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers before playing his next four with the Suns. He has career averages of 14.0 points, 4.8 assists and 3.9 rebounds.
