Budget cuts: Ex-soldiers suspend protest outside Lebanon's central bank

Retired soldiers suspended their protest on Monday in front of Lebanon's central bank against proposed budget cuts, Lebanese al-Jadeed television said. The veterans blockaded the central bank to warn the government against curbing their benefits in an escalation of strikes against plans to cut state spending.
