Angola is going to host a delegation of South African companies during the upcoming Angola Oil & Gas Conference in Luanda in June this year to ensure that the South African country is able to tap the competition into vast investment opportunities in Africa’s second biggest oil producing market.

The upcoming Angola Oil & Gas Conference will take place in the country’s capital, Luanda between June 4 and 6, according to a statement released by African Energy Chamber this week

Angola is constantly working on luring foreign investors from Asia, Europe, the Middle East and US. That’s the reason, Angola’s neighbours are trying to tap the investment opportunities in the Africa’s second biggest oil producing market. Players from South African and Niger

“The economic reforms passed by President João Lourenço and the opening of wide swaths of oil and gas acreage constitute the single biggest exploration opportunity in the history of Angola,” Africa Oil & Power, Chief Executive Officer, Guillaume Doane opined. “This is a new era for Angola that will herald the arrival of several new entrants to the market,” Doane added, as reported by Engineering News.

Strategic Fuel Fund from South Africa will also attend the Angola Oil & Gas Conference to check various licenses and blocks Angola has to offer. “The SFF seeks to invest in and acquire key oil and gas assets across Africa that can be of important interest to the host countries and South Africa,” Godfrey Moagi, the Chief Executive Officer of SFF said.

“In our quest for attractive assets with vast resource potential, we believe Angola offers the right kind of environment, mature fields and political leadership needed to realise successful ventures,” Moagi added.
