Tanner Glass did not have to wait long to find another job. On the same week when the former forward retired from the NHL, the New York Rangers hired Glass to a front office role, the New York Post reported. Glass will work in the player personnel department under new team president John Davidson.

Earlier this week, the 35-year-old Glass retired after 11 seasons and 527 games with the Rangers, Calgary Flames, Pittsburgh Penguins, Winnipeg Jets, Vancouver Canucks and Florida Panthers. He finished with 69 points (24 goals, 45 assists) and 658 penalty minutes. Glass could contribute to the Rangers' European scouting as well as its North American efforts, the Post reported. Glass played in France and Slovakia in addition to his NHL career.
