Security forces arrests three militants from Indo-Myanmar border

One active cadre of proscribed militant outfit Kangleipak Communists Party (KCP) was arrested by police while conducting search operation.

Security forces have arrested three militants from different places in Manipur, police said Saturday.

One active cadre of proscribed militant outfit Kangleipak Communists Party (KCP) was arrested by police while conducting search operation at Indo-Myanmar international border town of Moreh in Tengnoupal district Saturday, said Superintendent of Police, Tengnoupal, S Ibomcha Singh.

A joint team of Manipur police and Assam Rifles arrested one hardcore member of proscribed militant outfit People Liberation Army (PLA) during a search operation conducted at Phoudel Kairembi area in Thoubal district on Friday, said a press release issued by PRO Manipur police.

Another team of Manipur police and Assam Rifles arrested one overground member of banned underground organisation Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) while conducting search operation at Kakching Bazar area in Kakching district on Thursday, said the release.
