Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said on Friday she was not worried by the recent rise in Italian bond yields.
The so-called "spread" between Italian and German 10-year yields – a gauge of market sentiment towards high-debt Italy – stands at around 194 basis points, off from a peak of 200 touched in early London trade, which was the highest since March.
"Italy is solid," Meloni told reporters in Malta on the sidelines of an international meeting.
