Biden and Dominican Republican president talked Haiti security situation -White House

U.S. President Joe Biden's discussion with Dominican Republic President Luis Abinader on Haiti was largely on the security situation, White House national security spokesperson John Kirby told reporters on Thursday.

Haiti has suffered major security issues in recent years, including the assassination of its president, Jovenel Moise, in 2021, as well as gang violence and kidnappings, including of two Americans who were later released. (Reporting By Andrea Shalal and Jarrett Renshaw Editing by Chris Reese)
